Dutchman Willem Geljon moved to Minnesota with his family in early 2016, bringing with him a true love of food and passion for pure products. He also carried along a great enthusiasm for introducing traditional Dutch flavors to the local community.

 

On September 17, 2016, Minnesota baking legend and winner of over 1,000 blue ribbons,

Marjorie Johnson of Blue Ribbon Baking named Willem's recipe the WINNER of the

2016 Excelsior Apple Day home-baked creative competition.

Not long after, he founded The Bake Bike to bring his award-winning Dutch Apple Tart to a larger audience.
